PimpMySims4 has updated their Sims 4 LGBT mod, over on their Patreon. If you don’t know this one, it has all sorts of goodies for your non-hetero, non-cis, queer gameplay! That includes aro/ace traits, homophobia (through a trait, so you can absolutely keep it out of your Sims world), events, and other things that aren’t obvious from the. From fixing toilets to paying overpriced electricity bills, Sims are programmed to suffer real people problems.
Including the eternal search for true love.
As much as it’s fun to play God, it can’t be helped to get attached or even cheer for our lovesick Sims.
Because like all hopeless romantics, who wouldn’t want a happily ever after?
But the journey to a fairytale ending is not all rainbows and sunshine.
Even with all the options and tools to manipulate a perfect love story, there’s only so much we can do to make a Sim relationship work in our favor.
That’s why, in the name of love, it’s time to install some mods and Cupid things up a bit.
Assuming that you want what’s best for your Sims, this list of awesome lovey-dovey mods is a gift that I’m willing to share.
15. Slice of Life Mod
The Sims have come a long way since 2000.
Back in the original game, they were just an emotionless pack of zombies with an enjoyable level of dogged obedience.
Fast forward to the release of TS4, they now have a varied collection of reactions and emotions that can change in a snap.
But it will never be enough. Not when we’re trying to make something real.
The Slice of Life mod is an extensive base game upgrade to humanize Sims and inject them with realistic behavior like blushing when flirting, getting teary-eyed, or straight-up puking when drunk.
So before you smother Sims with romantic interactions, you best make sure the feeling is authentic and visible on-screen.
14. Romantic Massage
It’s no secret that Sims have boring love lives.
Offering roses and sucking face were exciting once, sweet even. But repeating the same actions over and over can make anyone dread a long-term commitment.
Sims might be resigned to the monotony of it all. But I’m not going to spend 2 hours of playtime watching my characters simply peck cheeks and give gibberish dirty jokes.
Have a heart and give your Sim a new reason to enjoy date nights at home without resorting to Netflix and chill!
Set up a saucy evening by introducing a Romantic Massage that will leave both lovebirds in a highly flirtatious mood.
13. All My Life and All That Matters
Because Sims lack initiative and a sense of awareness, it’s only natural to install pre-determined poses for a picture-perfect couple.
If you want a pose that can fit right in a Nicholas Sparks movie, then this CC pack from simmerberlin is one of the best you can find.
Make your narrative more convincing by having Sims pose in typical YA fashion that can rival couples in classic hits such as The Notebook or A Walk to Remember.
Whether it’s a best friend finally confessing, or a 20-year reunion between unrequited lovers, this pose pack has the theatrics to pull your story off.
12. Romance Hug Improved
If you think Sims need more warm hugs, then this mod is the first step to changing your main squeeze.
I could give you a long-ass research summary on the benefits of hugging. There’s a lot.
But at its core, hugs are life-saving actions of comfort that can temper failing Sim relationships.
If your Sims’ romance bars are on the verge of depletion, then maybe a long romantic embrace is the affection booster they never knew they needed.
11. Romantic Skygaze Mod
Now if you ever wanted to lie down on the grass with that special someone after seeing the first kissing scene in “Call Me By Your Name,” then here’s your chance to live out that fantasy.
This mod from creator Dramatic-Gamer will have your Sims cuddling on the ground at any location you think is appropriate.
Whether it’s in a park, a romantic garden, or in the middle of the road, your Sims will simply drop everything, lie on the ground, and stare at the clouds or the night sky until they’re loved up and happy.
10. Slow Dance Mod
A slow dance number with your high school crush or long-time partner is a bucket-list-worthy moment that only a few people get to enjoy in their lifetime.
Sims, on the other hand, get all the time in the world to have a prom-perfect waltz with their loved one.
Sacrificial’s mod here displays all the classic slow dance tropes to sweep your Sims off their feet.
From the loving gaze to the quiet buildup of a kiss, this mod will immerse your Sims in a hypnotic routine that could make sparks fly.
It’s not as hot and flashy as Dirty Dancing. But it’s as magical and enchanting as any Disney movie.
9. SimDa Dating App
Dating apps like Tinder or Bumble don’t cater to a Sim demographic. But that only motivated LittleMsSam to create an in-game counterpart.
Meet SimDa, a one-stop-shop dating app for casual hookups, blind dates, and I-want-commitment dates.
Similar to how we exploit Tinder on-the-go, this mod can be accessed via your Sim’s phone.
You won’t be able to swipe left or right. But you can still choose a date from a roster of emotionally available and unavailable Sims.
Exactly how it is in real life, right?
8. Passionate Romance
If you have a lifespan as short as Sims, it would take no time to realize that love is the best gift of all.
Why live that short life with no passion, no amorous add-ons at all?
Have your Sims discover new intimacies with this mod from Sacrificial that includes snuggles, romantic hugs, intense make-out sessions, and the quintessential expression of millennial love: romantic selfies.
If your neighborhood is not squeamish to blatant PDA, then your Sims will be having a field day.
7. Pillow Talk After WooHoo
Sims that immediately fall sleep after an intense WooHoo: this is a serious issue that we need to fix ASAP.
Even though Simlish is as understandable as college algebra, forcing Sims to initiate pillow talk can make post-WooHoos look more realistic and cozy.
A little Whisper Secret here, a Snuggle Nuzzle there, and a bunch of tickles afterward would keep any Sim awake to enjoy it while it lasts.
A must-have mod for believers in late night talks.
6. Autonomous Proposals
Since the beginning of time, NPCs have rarely been the source of surprise and excitement in a Sim relationship.
Naturally, romance has become too predictable and reliant on the player’s free will to be considered fun and spontaneous.
Until this mod came into the picture.
The Autonomous Proposals by PolarBearSims promises a revolutionary change in Sim relationship dynamics.
This mod allows an NPC to make a voluntary proposal for marriage, and even divorce!
Whether you like the outcome or not, let this mod be a test of your Sim’s love and resilience for an uncontrollable partner.
5. Long-term Relationship Building
When it comes to building long-lasting relationships, human beings are far from the perfect role models.
It also doesn’t help that our generation breeds commitment-phobes thanks to the ever-growing influence of hookup culture.
But if there’s one thing we can learn from flawed human nature, it’s that we always try to keep our connections strong and intact for as long as possible.
Ironically a trait that devs never bothered to add into a Sim’s quest for emotional fulfillment.
Rehabilitate your Sim’s lack of care in relationships by making romantic gestures more impactful and heartfelt. This mod from Wiggler will let you enjoy playing emotionally mature Sims who don’t throw a tantrum at the first sign of irritation.
Must be nice.
4. MC WooHoo
Deaderpool’s MC Command Center has a lot of functionality and story progression upgrades that make it one of the most popular mods to be downloaded for TS4.
Although doing career cheats and having total control over NPCs is fun, there’s nothing like steamier WooHoo sessions to make anyone more invested in playing.
MC WooHoo is a must-have mod for lustful Sims who have all the time in the world to make their love in… liberating ways.
This mod enables all relationship pregnancies, polygamy, casual fun between Sims who have no romantic history, and plenty more.
It also strips Sims down to their birthday suits. Because no one really likes to be fully-clothed after that… it’s called “the dance with no pants” for a reason.
3. First Love
As a kid, life was wonderful and dreadful all at once.
There were constant battles against acne, bullies, and parental guidance. But there were also unforgettable firsts that made childhood survivable.
Like falling for your first love.
With this mod, you can guide your child Sim through the intricacies of innocent flirting such as exchanging numbers, monkeying around, and gazing at the stars.
Relive the stomach-churning sensation of interacting with a crush without the emotional consequences and have your Sims win love at first sight.
2. Improved Relationships
In The Sims, love is not a losing game.
Not when you have cheats and mods to bail you out of an unhappy relationship!
But if you want to play it the old-fashioned way, then you must accept the fact that in love, there are no shortcuts.
And that every decision can either make or break your Sim’s #relationshipgoals.
Change your Sim’s status to “it’s complicated” with this mod from Zero that puts long-term consequences on every action you take. It’s pretty detailed too.

One of the things that makes pride so special is the fact that not only does it celebrate how far we’ve come, but it spreads awareness to those groups that aren’t as represented.
It brings people together, and continues to relay the message that we’re not going to give up!

I, for one, have always been a big fan of black graphic tees.

Not to mention they pair with everything from jeans to casual skirts. And you can still express yourself with words, characters, and anything in between.
That being said, black pride shirts have all of the benefits of regular black graphic tees. But now they have your favorite words on them, and they mean something really important.

With shirts that have sayings like “Gay isn’t a choice, hate is” and “Let’s get one thing straight, I’m not” there’s something for everyone here.

Start them off young!

Things like the rainbow-studded jacket that come included in the Punk Pride pack make it worth the download. And is the best way to get your lot decked out before Pride Month kicks in again!
3. Coming Out Mod

Being gay was already an option in The Sims. But do you sometimes wish you could give your Sims the full experience?
That nerve wrecking conversation that you have with your parents when you finally feel the time is right, and you finally let them know who you truly are?
Well then make sure to check out the Coming Out Mod.
This gives your Sim the chance to clarify exactly what their sexuality is to other Sims.
Of course, it comes with a variety of different emotions that can be felt by your Sim afterwards. Because as the creator of this mod put it:
“Coming Out is a very emotional thing”
And it even has other features such as telling their coming out story to others and expressing acceptance. Very detailed.
2. Pride Month Mod Pack
We can’t wait around for it to be June in real life. So if you want Pride Month to return but don’t want to sit around and wait, this is the mod for you!
It affects certain cities like Windenburg and Del Sol Valley, and gets the towns ready to go for celebration.
Flags, banners, and more. Your town is going to be decked out and ready for Pride.
1. LGBT Mod
The LGBT mod arguably offers the best experience for Sims to properly live out their sexual identity.
The mod comes fully equipped with traits that will give them special whims, drag show events, special social events, and more!
For everyone in your town to experience all the joys the LGBTQ+ community, this is just the mod to try out.
Some of my personal favorite highlights of this mod are things such as planning LGBT charity galas, giving your lot special traits like LGBT hotspots that spawn Sims of similarity, and pride spirit being a holiday trait.
Unfortunately, as in real life, this mod does have a homophobic trait. Which does add more realism, but kinda ruins the mood.
However, there’s a way for you to encourage those Sims to be open-minded. And if successful, that trait will disappear from that Sim. A victory in my book!
